School Partnerships
Kelly Elementary School of Holyoke is a yearlong residency which is co-designed with Kindergarten and Grade 1 teachers (which include paraprofessionals) to create Dual Language Arts Integrated Aligned Curriculum. Residency involves creative AI projects, and trauma informed practices that are culturally responsive, support social emotional and cognitive learning for students of all abilities. Staff and students engage in mindful movement, visual thinking strategies, and community building through this dual language artist-in-residency.
Prelude Preschool of the Arts of Community Music School of Springfield has been yearlong programming with children ages 3-5 to co-design Culturally Responsive Arts Integration (CRAI) curriculum, support and resources which included professional development, weekly curricular resource sharing, monthly check-ins with staff and monthly family night creative projects.
Streiber Elementary School of Chicopee, a Page-to-Stage residency where students and teachers explore a children’s book, adapt it into a classroom performance /sharing for family, friends, and school community. Students are led through process of self-discovery that develops physical awareness, cooperative learning skills, while exploring vocabulary, read aloud skills and investigate concepts of character, setting and plot.
Phoenix Charter Academy Springfield residency with theater based team building activities, poetry, mixed media and short story analysis utilized to prompt guided reflection and exploration with 9th grade team.
